Etude House.

I was surprised when I saw an Etude House outlet in Plaza Singapura. I believe, it is the first and only outlet over here. Etude House is from Korea and carries a great variety of cosmetics and skincare. I’m not sure about the prices here but it is dirt cheap back in Seoul. Hence, if anyone were to ask me where should they go to purchase bags of cosmetics, I’d say – SEOUL.

The store itself attracts your attention, with their doll-house decorations in pastel colours and the freebies they generously hand out to you as you are about to enter the store. Do take a look at their range of eyeliners(I LIVE FOR EYELINERS), mascara, nail polish, foundations and shimmery eyeshadows that I absolutely adore!

You might probably be able to look like her after that…

Clocking in the hours.

Been working hard and will be working even harder in the next month to come.

May the force be with me and my aching feet.

Weird.

Mum gets all naggy and worried whenever I’m going out somewhere, which to me is pas ne probleme because I know I can take care of myself and street smart enough.

It is so weird that the tables are turned. My parents, along with a few of the family friends are heading to Sawadee-Sawadee for a weekend trip while I’m here. Well, I have work the day after and the thought of getting the first flight out and rushing back at night didn’t really go well with me. I can imagine the fun they are going to have over there. Sigh. SO COOL.

So, when mum left, I had this kind of ache inside me. Like, I won’t be able to see her, she won’t be within my radar for me to know she’s okay and doing well. And that SUCKS. Because, I’ll be worried sick thinking and praying everything is okay and she’s having fun. Okay, at least dad is there and everyone else, so I shouldn’t be worried.

But, it’s that whole mother-daughter instinct. That sense of protectiveness you build around each other over the years. Maybe, I worry too much. Heck, I’m not around most of the time and I’m alone unlike her, at least she’s surrounded by loved ones.

Okay, I should just breathe and think happy thoughts.

Taken.

After watching Taken, I learnt a very important lesson. I should never trust any Tom, Dick and Harry even if he’s drop-dead gorgeous. It is so scary knowing the fact that you’re inadvertently, putting yourself at such a risk, when you’re out having fun in a foreign place.

I must always remind myself to be cautious and observant towards my surrounding. Kinda freaked me out abit since I like to walk around, alone.

Overheard.

I overheard a short conversation between two working aunties.

Auntie A: Why so late?

Auntie B: Aiya, wait for that oooman(woman) lah! So long!

Auntie B: Wha euu want to eak?

Auntie A: Craypot, loh.

And I cringe when I hear some people who cannot pronounce words such as apple and people properly.

“Apper” and “Peoper”.
